Terms and conditions

We welcome feedback on our translations. It often happens that the Client wants to change a few technical terms or expressions, and we’re happy to update the text. The advantage here is that in getting access to your feedback, translators can update their glossaries for future assignments. While this service is included in the original price, any subsequent changes to the source text will be billed at the standard hourly rate.

Språkbolaget AB cannot be held liable for errors present in the source text submitted for translation, nor shall it be subject to a financial liability greater than the amount quoted for the assignment for any complaints.

The price and other delivery terms apply provided that the workflow is not disrupted by additions or changes to the manuscript, changes to delivery times, and other similar occurrences. Messengers and couriers are not included in the price.

Payment terms: normally 30 days net. For new customers, we apply anything from payment in advance to 20-days net, subject to credit approval. Large volumes will be invoiced in instalments by agreement.

You must notify Språkbolaget AB in writing of any defects in the work without unreasonable delay following discovery of said defects, and in no case later than two weeks after delivery of the work. If you do not notify Språkbolaget AB of the defects in writing within the specified time limits, you will forfeit the right to make a claim based on said defects.

For cancellations made after the assignment has been submitted but before work has begun, the Client may be charged for administrative costs. If a cancellation is received after work has begun, the Client will be charged for the full amount or a portion of the amount stated in Språkbolaget's quotation. This amount will be determined at Språkbolaget's sole discretion based on the work performed. Where possible, Språkbolaget shall hand over the part of the assignment that has been completed at the time of cancellation.

In the event of late payment, an annual penalty interest rate of 24% shall be applied to the overdue amount until receipt of full payment.

The Client shall compensate Språkbolaget AB for any written payment reminders up to the maximum amount permitted by applicable Swedish statutory regulations.

When Språkbolaget delivers proofread files in Word or as sticky notes in a PDF, it is only responsible for the corrections delivered. Språkbolaget is not responsible for ensuring that corrections are correctly incorporated by the Client. In the event of extensive changes to the material, we recommend the Client send a second proof to Språkbolaget for review.

This quotation is valid for 10 days from the date of issue.
