Terms and conditions

We welcome feedback on our translation. It is not uncommon to want to change a few technical terms or expressions, and we are happy to update the text. The added benefit of this is that the translator gets access to your feedback and can update their glossaries for future assignments. This is included in the original price. However, any subsequent additions to the source text will be billed at the standard hourly rate.

Språkbolaget AB cannot be held responsible for errors present in the source text submitted for translation, and cannot be subjected to a financial liability for any complaints greater than the amount quoted for the assignment.

The price and other delivery terms apply provided that the workflow is not disrupted by changed delivery times, additions, changes to the manuscript and other similar events. Messengers and couriers are not included in the price.

Payment terms: normally 30 days net. For new customers, we apply anything from payment in advance to 20-day payment terms depending on what the credit check allows. Large volumes are invoiced in instalments by agreement.

You must notify Språkbolaget AB in writing of any defects in the work without undue delay after you have discovered the defect, and in any event no later than two weeks after delivery of the work. If you do not notify the defect in writing within the specified time limits, you forfeit the right to make claims based on the defect.

For cancellations made after the assignment has been submitted, but before work has commenced, the Client may be charged for administrative costs. If a cancellation is received after work has commenced, the Client shall be charged for the full amount or part of the amount stated in Språkbolaget's quote, corresponding to what Språkbolaget, at its sole discretion, considers to correspond to the work performed. Where possible, Språkbolaget shall hand over the part of the assignment that has been completed at the time of cancellation.

In the event of late payment, an annual penalty interest rate equivalent to 24 percentage points on the overdue amount shall apply until payment is made.

The Client is obliged to pay compensation to Språkbolaget AB for written reminders of payment concerning the debt up to the maximum amount stipulated in the Debt Recovery Costs Ordinance.

When Språkbolaget delivers proofread files in Word or as sticky notes in a PDF, Språkbolaget is only responsible for the corrections delivered. Språkbolaget is not responsible for ensuring that corrections are correctly incorporated by the client. In the event of extensive changes to the material, we recommend sending a second proof to Språkbolaget.

The quotation is valid for 10 days from today's date.
