Translation of technical and IT texts
Technical translations can include texts covering anything from technology to IT. Thus it’s crucial that all terms and concepts in technical documents be translated with the greatest accuracy. Each subcategory requires the translator to possess specialised knowledge to ensure the translation is correct. Our profound knowledge of the industry makes us the ideal translation agency for your company in Stockholm whenever you need technical documents translated.

We carefully select our translators to ensure they not only possess the right language skills, but also specialise in IT and technology. By using the correct terminology and concepts, we help business owners in Stockholm reach a global audience without compromising on quality.

Public interest texts for newcomers
Sweden welcomes many newly arrived immigrants, which means many people do not understand Swedish, nor in many cases English. Instead, a great many other languages are becoming increasingly common. This makes it extremely important to translate socially useful information into these other languages so that everyone can access important information. Språkbolaget is the translation agency that wants to work with Stockholm-based businesses like yours to make a difference in society!
Språkbolaget offers a dependable process
At Språkbolaget, we have developed and adapted our processes for translating texts from Swedish into a range of migrant languages, including Sorani, Dari, Farsi (Persian), Arabic and Tigrinya. We have engaged translators who not only understand and have a sound knowledge of the Swedish language, but are also well acquainted with Swedish society. Because Språkbolaget strives to deliver top-tier quality, it places special emphasis on setting up a process tailored specifically to your text and needs, staying in close contact with you and the translators throughout the project.
Not all of the more common new languages in Sweden use the Latin alphabet, which means file management can be a bit more complicated and layouts may need a fair amount of adaptation, which we will naturally be happy to help you with. We can also assist with Easy-read Swedish, something which a number of our clients in Stockholm ask for.

Professional translations for your annual report and financial texts
Every company has its own distinct character when it comes to tone and style. This also applies to financial reports and other financial documents, and it’s also essential that translations of documents of this type use terminology and language consistently. There are also different standards (IFRS and GAAP) in different countries to comply with.
An annual report is typically a comprehensive publication often spanning hundreds of pages. There are frequently multiple authors involved and many updates during the creation process, which can make translation challenging and complex. And if the company also has international stakeholders, or if authorities need access to an annual report in another language, it may become necessary to translate it. This translation is then essential for ensuring the information reaches a wider audience.
By engaging a highly respected translation agency like Språkbolaget to translate your annual report, you can be certain your Stockholm-based company will receive a translation that reflects the original. We have extensive experience and a high level of expertise in the translation of financial reports and documents. With Språkbolaget as your translation partner you get a team of native-speaking translators and proofreaders who have education and experience in the field of finance. You can be confident that we will treat your documents with the highest possible confidentiality, and we can also draw up separate non-disclosure agreements for assignments that require it.

Healthcare, pharmaceuticals and medical technology
Medical texts are particularly sensitive because they affect so many aspects of human health. Whether it concerns drug information, manuals for medical devices, clinical studies, reports or patient education, it’s important that the text is written in the patient's or healthcare professional's native language and that all information is correct. A medical translation requires a translator with specific experience in translating medical texts. It’s essential for the translator to possess knowledge of the terminology used and the correct register in order to create top-quality native-language translations in the relevant field. Språkbolaget provides all of the above along with a translator who will make sure of the right tone and register for the intended target audience.
With our extensive experience in medical translation, Språkbolaget is the translation agency that always chooses the right translator for your assignments.

When translating legal documents, it’s crucial that all terms and concepts are translated correctly; every subcategory requires specific knowledge in its own particular field. Which services do you not offer?
We work exclusively with businesses. We refer to private individuals to the SFÖ website. We do not provide interpreter services.
Can I get my translation in the same layout?
Yes, if you send us a text in InDesign or other formats, we return the translation in the same layout. We also offer additional DTP services if you need print-ready files back. Please specify this when ordering or submitting a request for quotation.
Do you do express jobs?
Yes, absolutely. We'll do everything we can to make sure you get the material back when you need it. Contact us here. Let us know when you need your translation and we'll get back to you without delay.
Pricing and delivery
How much will your translation cost?
The price of your translation is based on a combination of criteria, such as the text’s subject matter and level of difficulty; the text volume; the target and source languages; and the deadline.
Translation prices are very much about supply and demand. Some languages have fewer available translators within specific subject categories, and the prices are thus higher than for languages and subjects where there are more translators to choose from. Some languages are more labour-intensive than others, and a text may need further adaptation to the cultures of the different target countries. Upload your file for a quotation. If the file is large, we recommend you use WeTransfer.
Do you offer contract prices and volume discounts?
Yes, of course. If you have regular translation needs with large volumes, we'll be happy to offer you a contract price. Contact one of our project managers here.
Do you charge extra for express delivery?
We charge an additional 10–100 % for express delivery. Express delivery costs more because the translator has to put other assignments on hold and may have to work overtime to complete yours. In most cases, the work will be completed quickly even without express delivery, so the surcharge may not be necessary. Upload your file with the proposed delivery date for a quotation. If its a large file, we recommend you use Wetransfer.
How quickly can I get my translation?
Delivery times depend primarily on the availability of a suitable translator and the volume of text. A good rule of thumb is to assume a translator has the capacity to translate around 2,000 words per day. On top of this come project management, language checking and file handling. When you receive a quotation from us, we also provide a delivery date. If you have a specific deadline to meet, please state this in your request for quotation and we’ll take it into account. If you’re in a particular hurry, we offer an express service where you can get your text translated extra quickly. Request a quotation here.
Translation process and quality
What does your working process involve?
Our standard work process involves a native-speaking translator with specialist expertise in the relevant field who translates and reviews their own text. After that, a different translator steps in to review the text again. As a regular client, you have the opportunity to use the same translator and the same project manager every time. We can set up specially tailored work processes and workflows for different types of projects. Contact us if you'd like to discuss your project with one of our project managers. We've spent many years honing our work process. Read some of our client case studies here.
Who translates my text?
A qualified native translator specialising in the relevant subject area translates the text, and a second qualified translator reviews it, in accordance with our standard workflow.
