Assignment

For Svea Bank we produce financial translations. We translate annual reports, audits, financial statements, corporate presentations, press releases and business documents, among other things, as well as marketing material such as brochures and roll-ups. The material is primarily translated from Swedish into English. The texts are complex with highly specific terms within economics and finance. We often work towards a publication date that cannot be missed, which means the translation process must be fast and efficient.

The financial texts we translate for Svea Bank contain a lot of figures and tables. It is a challenge to make all the numbers and text in tables and diagrams look just as good in the translated file, because numbers and dates are written differently in different languages and because text translated from Swedish almost always expands in the new language. The file is adapted to the source language, and it requires changing text boxes and table formatting to make the text fit.
