Assignment

The customer came to us via a recommendation from RFSU. Karolinska had produced educational material for new families that needed to be translated from Swedish into English, French, Spanish, Turkish, Arabic, Somali, Tigrinya and Persian, among other languages. They had previously worked with a translation agency that had delivered texts that they were unfortunately not satisfied with due to incorrect choice of words, text being omitted, personal opinions being added, etc.

We suggested the same type of process as for RFSU. First of all, we carefully selected translators living in Sweden who could translate directly from Swedish without stopping off in English via an intermediate step. We chose translators who were well-versed in Swedish conditions and who felt comfortable with the subject matter.

To further secure the process, we hired an additional
native speaker translators who checked each language to make sure that
the translations were of the highest quality.

The final result was translations that the customer felt confident with.
